WEEK 3: flashbaaack

Flashback on a SNAP!!

~snap~ snail mail, beeper, fax machines, telegraph, and huge phones are the things that pop up on my head when I think of something ancient way of communication (just to clarify, not so ancient). Well I asked my older relatives about those stuff and they told me that BEEPER, well im mot so sure if I understood it correct but they said that through it, you may send your message to other people by entering some codes, an operator will answer you then will connect you on phone then will let you say your message to your respective receiver. We still have an example of beeper here at home, it’s as big as a pack of cigarette with a one line screen on top of it with battery slots at the bottom, and I remembered that my uncle used it before when he was still having his previous job. I chose to emphasize the beeper because for me it is the closest thing to the cellphone nowadays. Then recently, email, internet, chatting, yahoo, facebook, cellphones etc. came along. The slower processes of communicating people instantly vanished. Everything happens with a snap, you can simply say HI to your friend who is very far from you, you can tell everything to anyone as you stay connected to the lifestyle that we have nowadays OOH POWER OF TECHNOLOGY..
I usually relate myself every time I make my blog entries every week and I can say that this topic affects me so much. Why? It’s just an eye opener for me that everything has changed, YES. It’s a big help for everyone that we can communicate to everyone we wanted to stay connected to, but isn’t it too harsh that because of these things people may end up damaged? DAMAGED because soon enough it is possible to happen that no one knows how to socialize personally and face to face? That everyone prefers to communicate virtually? That most of the people are fooling us behind our back unconsciously because we don’t even know who really they are? (NAHH!) anyway let’s go back to our main topic here, “ how does technology changed the way we communicate?” well, TECHNOLOGY  is powerful and COMMUNICATION is connected with it whatever we do. And I think that is how it transforms the way our communication was used to be. It goes beyond limits instantly, and for it’s result.. INSTANT communication. Yeah instant. Instant. Instant. That’s what people likes. Alright! Im getting redundant here already xD end here.. ~snap~
