Baroque art was easily interpreted in order to produce drama and tension. This period have different sculptures, architectures and paintings, but the most striking part in this era was their style in exaggeration of their artwork.Baroque art doesn't have much difference with Christian and Renaissance art, because, all of them encouraged Roman Catholic Church which had decided at the time of the council of Trent. The appeal of Baroque style turned consciously from the witty, intellectual qualities of 16th century Mannerist art to a visceral appeal aimed at the senses. In paintings Baroque gestures are broader than Mannerist gestures: less
ambiguous, less arcane and mysterious, more like the stage gestures of opera a major Baroque art form. Their poses depend on the tension within the figures. We can recall that in Renaissance art, the poses of their subjects depict realism where in every gestures have their own meaning and symbolism, but here in Baroque period, it depends on the counterpoise.
What do we have in present in terms of art? Does the Baroque art has something to do with what we have in this time? For my opinion, of course. A defining statement of what Baroque signifies in painting is provided by the series of paintings and we may comprehend that in present time, there are still some type of paintings that we may see just like what we used to have during the late Baroque period. The other Baroque innovation in worldly interiors was the state
apartment, a sequence of increasingly rich interiors that culminated in a
presence chamber or throne room or a state bedroom. With that statement, we may also comprehend that designs in some hotels may strike a Baroque style.
Baroque actually expressed new values. For myself, I don't think I already knew Baroque art that much, which gave me a reason not to relate my work of art with it.But by simply knowing what Baroque's background was, I'm already starting to create ideas that I may add in my style in doing artworks. Of course, during this present time, I may not be able to do it so, but as time will pass, I know for a fact that I will be able to accommodate myself the needs of the progression in my artistic style.
